Institute of Fine Arts (IFA), Chandigarh is proud to have established the first Fine Arts Institution for Degree and Diploma courses in Fine Arts in Chandigarh. Institute which has come up in 2004, was borne out of the need of the students of this region to express their creativity and provide them with the canvas to etch their potential. As there are only limited options available in this region IFA, the brain child of Dr. Balbinder Singh the director of the institute is PhD in Applied Arts, having 40 years’ experience and is topper in MFA of 1979 batch was initially imparting training to students to groom them as professionals in the field of Fine Arts, Painting, Applied Arts, Graphic Designing, Animation, Advertising, Packaging, Printing & Photography through short term courses. Out of these courses and through interaction with the masses there was a need and growing demand for Fine Arts and Graphic course. Hence IFA with the unstinting effort of its Directors and faculty finally started MFA, BFA, BA Fine Arts, MA Fine Arts, Diploma in Fine Arts, Art Classes, Short Terms and Hobby Courses.

Institute of Fine Arts (IFA), Chandigarh offers a period of specialized study to its students in the subject of their choice, besides Regular and Online study creative criticisms and talks by the members of the teaching faculty, by distinguished contemporary artist are also arranged. Outdoor education comprising visits to Museums, Sketching, Art exhibitions, Printing units, Newspapers, Scenic spots etc. is a part of the curriculum.

Students to have substantial 15% theoretical and 85% practical knowledge subjects like History & Appreciation of Art, Aesthetics, Applied Arts, Illustrations, Oil Painting, Sketching, Portrait, Composition, Clay Modeling, Craft, Printmaking, and Life Study, Anatomy, Calligraphy, Photography many more

Head branch is open for weekdays and weekends for all 6 days a week. So here you have the option to join as per your choice. Being open for all days eases the student to get help and enquire any day.

CCTV surveillance

CCTV surveillance is for the safety of all. All the classrooms have CCTV which also helps the head to keep an eye on the activities going in the class. It helps the students to be attentive and sincere with their work.

Artistic atmosphere

The classroom is arranged such as to create an artistic atmosphere where students get motivated to do work with concentration. This environment can’t be achieved at home. The students working on the different subject creates art in the air.

Mineral water

Thirst is not a problem. Mineral water is provided so it’s safe to drink. So you don’t need to carry a water bottle with you. Here you get fresh and safe water to drink drinking water machine is installed for convenience.

Refund Policy:

• 1. The registration fee is nonrefundable.
• 2. 80% fee is refundable if the student cancels His/her admission within 15 days prior to starting classes.
• 3. 50% fee is refundable within 15 days after starting of semester, only if the student has not attended any class.
• 4. If the student has attended any class NO fee will be refunded.

Late Fee

Rs.500/- after 10th, Rs 1000/- after 15th, and Rs. 4000/- (Rs 1000/- late fee + Rs. 3000/- re-registration) if fee paid after 25th of that month.
